Casa Apantenco

A wonderful combination of architecture and nature is discovered in the hills above Tepoztlan. Built by a Sculptor-Architect on his four acre retreat, and cradled amid craggy mountains are three architecturally unique structures. A stunning circular building filled with light from the floor-to-ceiling windows is comprised of living room, bedroom, kitchen and bath, and furnished with minimalistic, elegant Starck chairs, a Juan Alvarez del Castillo table, among other traditional pieces. Outdoor architecture continues with a dramatic stairway ascending to a Mirador with a sensational 360 degree view and the railing around this roof terrace gives an image of a halo. An Artist´s studio with skylights, kitchenette and bath is hidden beneath a berm and finally a small guest bungalow with living room, bedroom, kitchen and bath features an entry sculpture by Jorge Yaspik.
